Playwright
Tim Giugni
has written and adapted many stories for the stage including
"There's a Nightmare in My Closet", "Alice
in Wonderland" and "The Tell Tale Heart".
Tim enjoys creating new works but finds that working inside of
another author's story to be "exciting and interesting".
Tim said, "When you really attempt to grasp what another
writer was doing in a piece you get the chance to work inside
of their mind. This is especially exciting and interesting when
the other author has been dead for 100 plus years."
Set Designer
Monica Roxburgh was the first person to realize the look and feel
of Waiting for a Train. Monica has also designed puppets for
Il Teatro Calamari's Hello Show.
Company
Il Teatro Calamari was founded in 1995 as a national and international
touring company by Emmy award winning puppeteer Tim Giugni. Since
it's founding, Il Teatro Calamari has pursued theatrical excellence
on the stage with productions that use puppetry, mask and physical
theater. The company unites an exotic and wide range of styles,
yet the shows are suited for the entire family.
